About The Fish Fry
For the past 40 plus years, spring has brought the community together to enjoy a great meal with fellowship. Fried fish, homemade coleslaw, boiled potatoes, hush puppies and homemade desserts are served. The Fish Fry is a long-standing tradition to raise funds to help make Apex a great place to live and raise our families.
The Fish Fry is always held at the CC Jones Building at 309 Holleman Street in Apex, locally known as the Community Center. Dr Jones, a local physician, also a Lion, and his wife built the center and donated it to the Town of Apex under a Trust to make Apex a great place to live.
A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Fish Fry will go to benefit Tray Cromwell, the grandson of Apex Lions Carl and Linda Cromwell, who is currently fighting against ALS.
The Lions have established a special page as a way for Community members to provide financial assistance for Tray’s needs. Unlike with many popular platforms, the Apex Lions Charitable Fund will not take any fees from donations.

The Lions have partnered again with Citizens Assisting Police in Apex (CAPA) to continue this long-standing event. Since Both the Apex Lions and CAPA are volunteer organizations working to make Apex the “Peak of Good Living”, this partnership has always been a great way to work together. The Fish Fry, always known as The Apex Lions Club Fish Fry, includes members of the Lions, CAPA, Boy Scouts, Law Enforcement and friends of Apex, all volunteering to support this annual community event.
The proceeds from The Apex Lions Club Fish Fry will be shared by both the Lions and CAPA to support their efforts in making our community, and the world around us, a better place to live and raise our families.
